  • The First Concept The plans for a Medina Community Garage Sale were formulated in the Summer of 2000 by Medina Native Sherry Wheatley. The Event Concept was presented to several civic organizations hoping that one Progressive Minded Group would financed the undertaking for the first year. The purpose of the Community Garage Sale was to bring together many small Garage Sales in one area on one day while celebrating the arrival of Summer. Instead of traveling to several towns to look for bargains, a large number of yard sales would be displaying their wares on the Same Day.
  •

  • The Lions Help Out After Sherry Wheatley was the speaker at a Fall Meeting in 2001. She Joined the Lions Club at that time. Sherry and Doc Mruczek were appointed Co-Chairs with a small budget of seed money and severl volunteers from the Medina Lions Club Community, the Committee met on Wednesdays to brain storm ideas and prepare a plan of action.
