Dave attended Erie County Community College from 1992-1994 and Graduated with degree in OPHTHALMIC DISPENSING. He graduated from BROCKPORT University in 1984 with a B.A. degree in Music. His ratings were High Level of Trust by his Clients and he is highly respected by both his peers in the Optical Field and the Doctors whose Rx's for Glasses he processes. He earned a 5 star rating for "Listening and Answering Questions" and is reguarded as excellent in making recommendations for his patrons at Lake Plains Optical.
Extracurricular Activities
Dave enjoys music and is the lead for a very popular band in the area. Dave Viterna Group offers a variety of musical diversities but Dave's favorite is singing and playing the Blues. He has produced several CD's. He is a member and volunteers for local Lions Organization with yearly Vision Screenings and local Lions Projects. David is an avid Gardener. David has a love for vintage guitars, and if you know about 'FENDER STRATOCASTERS' or 'FENDER TELECASTERS' or Gibson Les Paul's version of the AXE with six strings, Dave will engage you in lively conversation. If you like the 'Blues" played on a signature model, you'll have a whole host of things to chat about with this old "Rickenbacker". Why, he even has been known to give an honest appraisal for close friends!

Member of New York State Opticians Society, Certified Varilux Dispenser (1994), and holds a Ophthalmic Dispensing License (1994).
Family
Dave married Kelly Clark in 1995 and they reside in Medina, NY. Together, they enjoy their two boys, Vinny (1999) and Dominic (2001).
Honors
Dave Viterna was voted the "Best Optician" by the Journal Register in 2000, 2003, and 2010. Lake Plains Optical was Voted the Best Optical Shop by the Journal Public Opinion Survey in 2000, 2003 and 2010.

What is an Optician
A dispensing optician fits, adjusts, and repairs eyeglasses. They analyze and interpret prescriptions written by Ophthalmologists or Optometrists to determine which eyeglasses or contact are best suited to the patient's lifestyle, physical attributes and visual needs.
