Today, Electronic Medical Records Practice Management has helped hundreds of practices improve patient safety, appointment flow and productivity by centralizing workflow flexibility. New Computor System

The Federal Government has recently pass a law to mandate Electronic Medical Records: We are launching our Windows-based practice management system to provide user-friendly technology for the Lake Plains Medical Center Practice to manage appointments, billing, and other administrative processes. We will be able to work with private and governmental organizations to promote mandated industry adoption of health information systems.

William C. Cosman, MD

Profile

Dr. William Cosman is a Board Certified Physician whose Speciality is Ophthalmology. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is licensed in New York State to Practice Medicine. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2002. He has been affiliated with Lake Plains Eye Center, 500 Erie Street South, Medina NY since 2006. Dr. Bill interests include Cataract Surgery Techniques, Intraocular Lens Technology and Calculations, Computerized Medical records and Practice Management.

Dr. Bill attended Ithaca University from 1994-1998 and Graduated (Cum Laude) with a B.A. in Biochemistry. He attended SUNY Upstate Medical University 1998-2002 graduating (Cum Laude) with a Medical Degree. His Residency was at Syracuse from 2003-2006 in the Department of Ophthalmology.

Awards & Honors

Dr Cosman was Vice President of Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Dean's Letter of Commendation in all 4 years of Medical School. He was Chief Resident of Syracuse Veterans Affairs Ophthalmology Department!

Extracurricular Activities

Bill enjoys hockey and was Eastern Collegiate Ice Hockey League 2 time all academic team and was honored as 1-time all league defense man. Along with his children,he enjoys Ice Hockey and Basketball. Dr Cosman serves as a Local Christian Minister.

Research Experience

Recipient of Dana Internship for Research with Dr. Imre Tamas for attempted extraction of novel growth inhibiting hormone.

Family

Bill is married to his wife Victoria and they reside in Brockport, NY. Together, they enjoy their six children, Willie, Jacob, Sarah, Gianna, Tea, and Natalie.

What is an Ophthalmologist

An Ophthalmologist is a Medical Doctor who specializes in the Medical and Surgical Care of the human eye and visual system. They perform a full spectrum of care including routine eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eye, defects of the eye, and may perform surgery to correct such. They also manage eye problems that are caused by systemic illness. They can write prescriptions and treatment orders, or refer a patient to another specialist. Ophthalmologist can be medical doctors (M.D.) or doctors of osteopathy (D.O.).
